What’s Left of Me

“When someone pushes you away, you need to find the strength to hold on tighter.”

BRING TISSUES. That’s the number one thing I will say about this book because OMG my heart is weeping right now. This is an emotional one, guys. Just be prepared.

I don’t want to give too much away, so this review is going to be a little shorter. THERE WILL BE MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD. I went into the novel knowing only a couple of things, and I think it left me wide open to experience everything I needed to. Here’s what I think you should know: Callie is a trophy wife with an abusive husband. Her best friend lives across the street from her and her brother, Cole, moves in one day after his life falls to pieces. At first Callie mistakes Cole for the new lawn maintenance worker, but quickly realizes her mistake after he blows up in her face. That’s how these two roll though. These two have really interesting, delicious, explosive chemistry that turns into love.

Two important things to note: #1. Callie sleeps with Cole before her divorce is finalized. Now here’s the tricky thing about cheating in novels…if one of the character’s is being abused…it doesn’t bother me at all. ANY OTHER TIME it is a complete no-no for me, but if the character that is being abused finds love somewhere else…good. for. them. So yes, I guess “technically” Callie cheats on her husband, but it was absolutely okay in my book. #2. There is an attempted rape in this novel. If that is triggering then do not read this. It’s really hard to read anyway because of how terrifying and real it is, but yeah, just keep that in mind.

This novel was out-of-this-world PHENOMENAL. The best Kristen Granata book I’ve read. It forced me to confront some very real and scary emotions. It makes you feel on a deep level. If you’re looking for something rich and full of life – this is the book for you. It’s raw and real and painful. This story is eloquently crafted and beautifully sewn together. There’s something truly touching about a redemption story, a story of second chances in life. That’s what this is. Something to hold on to, something to give you hope when it feels like all is lost. This is a story I will hold on to for the rest of my life because of the lasting impact it made on me today. Absolutely fantastic. 5 stars.

“You’re my savior. My angel. My redemption.” “And you’re my hope.”

Keenan

“Ta mo chroi istigh ionat, Keenan,” she says. “My heart is in you. My everything is in you.”

This is labeled as a Dark Irish Mafia romance. Well, if that wasn’t THE BEST Dark Irish Mafia romance I’ve ever read! Seriously, I’ve been in a bit of a book funk lately. I haven’t been able to find something that would keep my attention until I started this book. It was riveting and exciting and kept me on my toes the entire time.

Caitlin, our leading lady, has been locked away in a lighthouse for her entire life. No joke, she’s never been outside…until her father dies. He cared for her and after he passed, she ran out of food and was starving. She braved the outdoors and went into her father’s shed to see if there was any extra rations in there, only to be captured by Keenan, the head of an Irish clan. Keenan went to the lighthouse with his men to look for clues on who might be leaking clan information to their rivals. When he finds Caitlin, he believes that she might be a spy, so he kidnaps her. Everything spirals from there. Caitlin knows nothing of the way the world works. She’s never been touched by a man, she’s never eaten certain foods, she’s never seen the sea from anywhere but the lighthouse. She gets to experience so many firsts, and Keenan wants to be the one to show it all to her. He’s smitten from the moment he meets her. She grounds him and makes him happy. Although she’s sassy and defiant sometimes, Keenan punishes her accordingly.

That’s probably the most interesting part of this novel – the balance. Keenan doesn’t like to be disrespected, but Caitlin is not one to back down from a fight. Although she’s new to the ways of the world, she still knows right from wrong. She’s constantly struggles with her affection (and eventually love) for Keenan and his desire to punish her and silence her. She is forced to call him “sir” often and is spanked on multiple occasions when she’s noncompliant. But what’s more interesting is, even though Keenan enjoys punishing her, he still holds himself accountable. He never punishes her past her limits and he always takes care of her afterwards. He rewards her when she is respectful and listens to him. It’s a very delicate relationship. One that, by the end of the novel, still has issues. But it keeps the storyline moving forward and it’s SO INTERESTING. Caitlin is never fully silenced though, she speaks her mind when she feels the need to and, on certain occasions, Keenan respects her for it. Like I said – balance. Man, I loved this book.

I could go on and on, but mostly I just want to check and see if the next book has been released yet. I’m addicted. The story was so amazing that I want to stay in this world just a little bit longer. Bravo! Jane Henry always writes such delicious stories. I can’t wait to keep exploring her work. 5 stars!

“You breathe life back into me when the day’s drained it from my very limbs.”

Making Faces

“What’s this?” Fern asked, her fingers hovering above a long green frond with delicate leaves that now wrapped around the five names. “It’s a fern.” “You got a tattoo…of a fern?” Fern’s lower lip started to tremble again, and if Ambrose wasn’t so touched by her emotion, he would have laughed at her pouty little girl face. “But…it’s permanent,” she whispered, aghast. “Yeah. It is. So are you,” Ambrose said.

WARNING: there may be some spoilers ahead. It was difficult for me to write this review without talking about some of the deeper, more meaningful things that happened in this story. I apologize in advance.

I had to take a few minutes for myself before I could write this review because I couldn’t stop crying. I’m currently still crying, but I’m able to see my computer screen, so I can write at the same time. This book was…wow. I’m not sure I know how to describe it. It was transcendent, unlike anything I’ve ever read before. My heart was ripped from my chest, I bled out, and then I was healed and made whole again. It takes a very special book to force it’s reader to feel things so fully.

There is no avoiding the pain and sorrow this book brings, it’s inevitable. To delve into that pain, we first have to discuss the reasoning behind it: loss. How do you navigate loss? Everyone grieves in a different way, so it’s impossible to understand, truly, what our characters are going through. You can only take from what you’ve experienced in this life. I’m not sure if this is a spoiler, but we lose Bailey in this book. In a horrific way that leaves you hunched over, gasping for breath while you wail. At least, that’s how it left me. I knew it was coming, like I said before, it was inevitable, but it’s the way that it happens that gets you. I won’t go into detail on that, but just know that you should be prepared, if you read this, for the pain of that loss. To me, he was the biggest loss of all. We also lose Paulie, Grant, Jesse, and Beans, Ambrose’s four best friends from high school. All five of them head off to war and only Ambrose returns. He suffers from PTSD, survivor’s guilt, and half of his face is completely deformed. So yes, that’s another loss. Ambrose’s beauty. Fern loses her old insecurities as she becomes a beautiful, strong woman. There is a lot that’s lost in this novel, but there is also so much joy and happiness.

“There isn’t heartache if there hasn’t been joy. I wouldn’t feel loss if there hadn’t been love.”

I’m new to Amy Harmon’s work but this book was recommended to me on Amazon, so I thought I’d give it a shot. Amy gives us little vignettes (throughout our story) of flashbacks. We get everything from Ambrose’s time overseas with his friends, to Bailey and Fern’s time growing up together. We get to see them all go to senior prom and we get to watch Fern have her first kiss. We even have a glimpse of what life was like for Ambrose when he was in the hospital after the accident. There’s so much that our author gifts to us in these tiny scenes. They are blended so well through the story that everything flows perfectly. Jumping back and forth between the past and the present can sometimes feel like a chore for the reader, but here it is done so eloquently, it makes it easy for us. Beautiful work.

The last thing I want to discuss is the biggest topic amongst the romance community: sex. There’s none of it in this book. Absolutely none. There is passion and chemistry and plenty of kissing, but no sex. And you know what? I didn’t miss it. That is a RARE thing for me to say, let me tell ya. But for some reason, it never even crossed my mind while I was reading the book. Only at the very end, when our author glosses over the fact that our leads are making love, did the idea rear its head. I can’t even begin to explain what this means. I think it’s pretty clear that if a romance novel didn’t need sex to make it exceptional, the author must really be talented. This story was magical and complex and painful, but so uplifting and inspiring. I could read this over and over again and never get tired of it. I hope I can meet Amy Harmon one day and thank her for writing such a magnificent story. 5 stars!

“Everybody is a main character to someone.”

The Girl Next Door

“I love you, Beck.” Her attention stays focused on me. “Even when I didn’t want to, I did.”

**WARNING: SPOILERS**

This one was lent to me by my best friend because Jennifer Sucevic doesn’t have her stuff available on Kindle Unlimited. I’m a really huge fan of LJ Shen’s work, specifically Broken Knight, and my best friend equated this book to that story. Boy was that true. For some reason, I love to torture myself with books. That’s right, this book was torture. So painful and heartbreaking, but the reward at the end made it all worth it.

Beck and Mia are dark and light. Good and bad. Beck is a total player, he drinks in high school, he smokes, and he knows how good-looking he is. Mia is the opposite. She is straight-laced and kind. She doesn’t realize how attractive she is, which just makes her more alluring to Beck. You see, Mia has been the only girl for Beck since forever. Even though he hooks up with other people, no one is a match for him like Mia is. After Mia loses her virginity to Beck in high school, he ruins it all by listening to his father and ending things with Mia before they even begin. Their relationship goes on and on like this through the years, them *almost* getting together and then something getting in their way. It’s excruciating. Like come on, can our couple just get a break PLEASE.

Now let’s talk about infidelity. This is a HUGE part of this story. I won’t go into detail about exactly how it happens, but I will tell you that our main characters do not cheat on each other (thank GOD). That’s a big deal breaker for me, as you’ve probably seen from my previous reviews. Cheating is a huge trigger for me, and I honestly wish there were trigger warnings for it without ruining the story. Unfortunately, that’s not possible, so here we are. Infidelity. There are two instances in this novel where this topic arises. It’s painful and wrong and it destroys my appreciation for characters. For instance, with Mia and Beck, had these two just communicated a little bit better, all of their issues could have been resolved. Of course, then there wouldn’t be a story, now would there? Infidelity can either make or break and story in my opinion. Luckily, in this one, it didn’t destroy the characters for me. And that ending. Oh my gosh. The way our couple makes up…it’s perfection. It really came full circle for me. These two are meant to be, and Beck knew it since high school. It just takes them a few years. Bravo, Jennifer. Another great read! Can’t wait for Colton and Alyssa’s story! 4 stars.

“It’s always been Mia.”

Guilty Pleasures

WARNING: RANTING AND LOTS OF SPOILERS

This book was not for me. I’ve never given a two star rating before, but I couldn’t stomach this book. It was painful to read and then the ending was like a kick in the face. I skipped through a little bit of this book because I couldn’t handle the “training”. That’s very rare for me, if you’ve read any of the other books that I tend to review. I absolutely love dark romance. I enjoy reading about BDSM and all types of sex, but this wasn’t that. That screamed abuse on a whole other level. There wasn’t an emotional connection for our leading lady, everything was purely physical.

This book starts out with a really unhappy couple. The wife is tired and bitter because she can’t achieve orgasm with her husband. Instead of talking to him about it, she just resents him and refuses to sleep with him. Her husband is furious about this, but (thankfully) he doesn’t go outside of the marriage to get his fix. I was really happy about that because if anything, I was afraid he would cheat on her. But no, it’s worse than that. He employs his friends to train his wife to be his sex slave. No one speaks to her about this, they just threaten her until she’s compliant. Yes, she gets off on it. Yes, she likes being treated like an object (I guess). But it still doesn’t mean it was done right. Then at the end, when she’s been sold to a master and it turns out to be her husband? I cried. I literally couldn’t take it anymore. It felt like the ultimate betrayal. I didn’t fault her for not being able to have an orgasm with her husband. I didn’t fault her for not wanting to have sex with him when he made her feel so unloved. Nothing was her fault, and yet, he did this to her. Then he went so far as to say that he would allow other people to PLAY with her if he wanted. Nope. I’m out. That’s too far, in my opinion. Thanks anyway. 2 stars.

Side note: if you enjoyed this book, I’d love to chat and hear your opinion. Seeing it from a different perspective might help me! Who knows! To each their own, I say, and this just wasn’t for me.

Master of Salt & Bones

“You’re my curse. Staying away from you, is like trying to hold my breath when the tide is rising.” His words dance around my head, the deep timbre of his voice titillating my senses. “I want to drown in you.”

Could dark romance get any better than this? I think not. And when I say dark romance, I mean DARK. This novel involves issues such a sadism, rape, murder, and pedophilia. Seriously, it’s not for the faint of heart, but boy was it a ride. This was the definition of an emotional rollercoaster, if you can even call it that. There were moments when I was crying so hard, I couldn’t see the screen of my kindle through my tears. If you decide to read this, be prepared to take some time for yourself afterwards. You’ll need it.

**WARNING: SPOILERS**

Lucian Blackthorne has had a very emotionally tragic life. His father was abusive, he was taken advantage of as a young teen by an older woman, he was forced into a marriage with a woman he did not love, he lost his only son, he got into an accident that caused hid face to become disfigured, and then his wife committed suicide in front of him. Like I said, not an easy life. Though he is a billionaire, not all things can be handled with money. He lives with his elderly mother, who is, for all intents and purposes, mentally ill in a mansion on a cliff. She requires a care taker alongside a nurse to keep her occupied daily. Many of her caretakers haven’t been able to stick around due to their inability to handle his mother and fear of the house. You see, the house is supposedly haunted and the basement level is a mortuary.

Our story begins when our heroine, Isadora, is hired as the new caretaker for Mrs. Blackthorne. Isadora is not like a normal girl, she has experienced some tragic things in her life and she’s only nineteen. When she arrives at the mansion, Lucian takes notice of her very quickly. Their attraction ignites as she stands up to him with snarky comments and a sassy attitude. Isa isn’t bothered by Lucian’s face or his dominating personality. In fact, she finds him immensely attractive and dreams about him almost every night. Talk about a slow burn…when these two finally give in to their desires it’s explosive. The chemistry is unreal and unstoppable. Lucian becomes obsessed with Isa, buying her gifts, giving away bits of himself to her over and over again. He experiences love for the first time in his life. The thing about Lucian though? He is a bit of a masochist. He gets off on almost dying. He enjoys breath-play in all forms, specifically when used with water. He almost drowned himself once, getting off in the bathtub. When he and Isa begin their affair, she discovers that she also enjoys breath-play. These two know how to tango! Their love is real, though. Above all else, they fight for each other. Lucian will do anything for Isa, and this is shown specifically at the end of the novel after sh*t hits the fan.

“I want you to stay with me,” he says against my mouth. “You’ll never want for anything, Isa. And I promise you, no one will ever hurt you again.” “And what happens when you get bored of me? When the thrill of the forbidden is gone?” “Impossible. You can’t get bored of the very thing you need to stay alive.”

There are more twists in this novel than I can count on one hand, and I don’t want to give anything away. I’ll just say this: don’t trust anyone. You never know who has an ulterior motive in this game. It makes this novel so intriguing and addictive. I couldn’t put it down. You think Lucian’s life couldn’t get any worse and then it does and it’s absolutely heartbreaking. The same goes for Isa, you finally find out her big secret at the end and then it’s all thrown back in her face. UGH. It’s terrifying and infuriating and I’m probably going to have nightmares but I was HERE FOR IT. Man, I’m obsessed with this book. Seriously, I can’t begin to say how excruciatingly painful but stunningly beautiful this novel was. Keri Lake wrote a masterpiece and I can only hope that her other works are of similar quality. I can’t wait to dive into more of her novels to see what other worlds she has built. Bravo. I can’t say it enough. 5 stars!

“Together, we are madness. And there is music in madness, and madness in love.”

Hurt to Love

“There was no one like him. I’d never met anyone as ridiculous, lovely, and insanely beautiful as Cill James, and I knew I never would. He was it for me. He was the mark to which every other man who came into my life would fall short. My happy never after.”

**WARNING: SPOILERS**

Nikki J Summers completely took me by surprise with this story. I love a good dark romance. Even more specifically, the ones that scare me the most: sex slavery. It’s difficult to find a solid story line when it comes to sex trafficking romances. Pepper Winters does it really well in Pennies, and there are a few others that I’ve enjoyed, but they are hard to come by. This was a perfect example of a really well-done dark romance featuring sex trafficking themes. I’m a sucker for a “savior” when it comes to these types of books and that’s exactly what Nikki J Summer’s delivers to us with Cillian.

Cillian (pronouced kill-i-an) is the definition of a bad-ass class clown. He’s a jokester and truly one of a kind. He’s never had a solid relationship but he’s getting tired of being on his own. He decides to head out to a sex club one night where he meets up with friends every once in a while, to indulge. When he gets there, he learns there’s a special show going on in the dungeon (basement) held by the Conti brothers. These brothers are notorious for being ruthless and dirty, and Cill hates them with a passion. He heads down there with his buddies and sees a girl huddled in the corner who apparently doesn’t speak. He immediately feels protective of her, so he asks to have a private room with her for a little bit. He tries to get her to speak, but she won’t budge. Defeated, he leaves, but can’t get her out of his mind. He has his friends track down the brothers again and get an invite to another party they are hosting. At this party, he breaks the silent girl out and steals her away. He decides to call her Wednesday, after Wednesday Adams from the Adams Family. Apparently, she looks just like her.

After he steals her away, they are on the run. They get to a safe house where they are able to stay for a while. Cil has a doctor brought in who helps the silent girl and a therapist who works with her on her trauma. Soon enough, she speaks! It’s a breath of fresh air. FINALLY! When you read the reason behind her first full sentence you will applaud our brave girl. She’s fierce and beautiful. That’s when we find out her real name: Paige. As our couple grows closer emotionally, so do they physically, until they finally cross the line and make love. OH MY GOD it was like the best thing I’ve ever read. Seriously, I felt like I had been waiting forever for something to happen and then it finally happened all at once and I was raising the roof over here!

Of course, the bad thing happens and it turns into this crazy emotional mess. Both of our lovers think that the other one has been killed. I was crying so hard. Watching Cil fight so hard for her, only to then be told that she is dead. He has no reason to live. Paige was the same, she was fighting for her life and once she believed that Cil was dead, her light had been snuffed out and she welcomed death. It was heartbreaking. We get our HEA though, don’t you worry!! And man, if it isn’t magnificent. The epilogue was everything I dreamed it would be. I loved this story so stinkin’ much! Brilliant! I’m impatiently awaiting my paperback copy. 5 stars!

“I think I’ll call you my forever girl.” He rolled me onto my back and pressed me into the mattress with his body. “You are the forever I never knew I wanted. The forever I’d wait a million years to find.”

Love in Stone

WARNING: SPOILERS

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It was quite different from the usual romance tropes that I read. Our leading lady was a paleontologist and her love interest was a geologist with a special psychic ability. I guess this one was kind of paranormal romance? I’m not really sure how to classify it, but all I know is that I loved it.

Clare is a dedicated, hardworking, science driven woman who is given the opportunity of a lifetime by her mentor. She is assigned to lead an excavation out in Montana. She is from New York City, so she isn’t used to the quiet life that the open air brings. When she gets there, with her team, they meet a group of geologists who have been working in the area. The lead geologist is named Ben. Ben is smart, funny, and very kind. Clare and Ben grow close throughout their first couple of weeks working on the site and things escalate pretty quickly. Clare is not very great, socially. She’s never had a boyfriend and only been kissed twice in her life. She has zero experience with men, and sometimes the things she says can be off-putting. Ben takes everything in stride, though. He is patient and kind towards her and lets her take the lead on most things. After a discovery that leaves Clare jumping for joy, Ben decides to call his sister for help.

Ben and his sister both has special abilities. Although we already know about Ben’s psychic visions and intuition, Nora, his sister, has the ability to touch things and see them in her minds eye (I think). Nora’s ability is kept under wraps, so we don’t really understand it’s full potential. Nora touches the bones of the mammal that Clare is trying to research and is able to have someone draw a full picture of what the animal looked like when it was alive. It’s really cool and very exciting. The book just keeps getting better and better from there. Clare and Ben’s physical romance skyrockets and everything falls into place. Even though they experience some bumps in the road, they are able to navigate them. They are such a cute couple. I love them!

I’m really excited to start on Nora’s book next, I can only imagine how her gift is going to impact her life. This was a really cool concept that our author, Eve Kasey, took and ran with. Great work!! 4 stars!

“That’s the thing with cameras,” he said. “If you send too much time behind the lens you miss what’s right in front of you.”

Devil Side

“I love you.” I tell her, my hand braced against the nape of her neck. “I’m fucking drowning in you, Gia Maria. I slipped right into your pretty blue eyes, kidding myself when I said I was going for a swim. I’m drowning, and I don’t care to come back up for air.”

Was this one of the best books I’ve read in 2020? YES. A thousand times, yes. I would never want to ruin this book for anyone, so I won’t go into much detail in this review. I will be brief, but just know that if you read this book and want to discuss – I’m totally down!

Max and Gia meet in a coffee shop at the beginning of our book. They know of each other through mutual friends, but have never really sat down and talked. As they are getting to know each other, Gia shares her hardships with her family and life. Max decides to invite her on his summer road trip, hoping that she will want to get away with him and find herself. He’s drawn to her, attracted to her soul. After finding out that her parents have set her up to be married to a man she doesn’t love, Gia decides to run away and join Max on his road trip.

Max is a musician, and a very talented one at that. Gia decides to take on the role of his manager while they are on this road trip together and she books him a bunch of gigs. Max’s talent catches on and soon enough they are in Las Vegas and Max is preforming back to back shows. He gets signed by a record label and his career takes off. All while this is happening, he’s keeping a huge secret from Gia. Something so big that you will literally never guess what it is. It’s life changing. When Gia finds out about the secret, her response is everything. It is what makes her so perfect for Max. She doesn’t even realize how incredible of a human she really is. There are some major issues with Gia’s father, which cause some pretty large bumps along the way, but our couple does get their HEA.

Both of these characters have been through the ringer. Max specifically. Their connection and the love they share is heartbreakingly beautiful. READ THIS BOOK. Please. I’m very serious about this. I can’t even begin to explain to you how incredible this story is. The chapters from different POVs, the dialogue differences, the plot twists…I mean, it was simply perfect. That’s the only way I know how to describe how I feel about this book: utter perfection. Lacey Dailey is an exceptional author, if this book is any example of that. I hope she has more brilliant stories like this one because I’m about to one click all her work. Bravo. 5 stars!!!

“All my seconds are for you.”

Push

This was my first ever MMF book. If you don’t know what that means, it stands for: male/male/female. This is a polygamist relationship book. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it, but I read some really great reviews and wanted to give it a shot. I’ve got to be honest, I’m still not really sure what I’m feeling. I cried a lot, especially at the end when our trio finally gets their HEA. I think my heart is confused because it’s so different than what I’m used to. It feels like it should be wrong, but it’s not. Not at all. This book made me definitely want to read more MM and FF books, I think I’d even be open to exploring more MMF or MFF (if there are any books written). So this review might feel a little off compared to my previous reviews, but bare with me as I navigate my emotions.

Ben and Jess are a married couple in their thirties with a nineteen year old daughter, Hailey. Hailey brings home her boyfriend, Ryan, for Thanksgiving and that’s where our story truly begins. Ryan is immediately attracted to Ben. He’s never really had same sex urges before, but there’s something about Ben that pulls me in. After a night in the basement together, Ben and Ryan begin an affair. Hailey and Jess are none the wiser. After Thanksgiving break ends, Hailey and Ryan go back to school and things go back to normal. Except…they really don’t. Ryan and Hailey break up, it’s amicable. Ben can’t stop thinking about Ryan, and Ryan can’t stop thinking about Ben. Ben goes to visit Ryan and that’s when Jess uncovers their secret. At first, she’s really hurt. She feels betrayed and cheated on. She’s confused about Ben’s sexuality (just as much as he is) and they fight. But pretty soon, Jess realizes that she’d be into exploring a relationship with Ryan too. Ryan also finds Jess insanely attractive, seeing as his sexuality is fluid, so the three of them explore each other. Everything seems to be going fine with the trio until Ben starts to feel guilty about Hailey, his daughter, and how she might react to the whole relationship.

The huge fall out happens pretty soon after Ben starts to feel guilty and honestly…it’s devastating. I was heartbroken to read about each characters reaction to what happens. But more than anything, I felt so much sadness for Ryan. He was the third wheel in the relationship the entire time, he didn’t have anything holding him to Ben and Jess except for his immense feelings for them. Ben has a difficult time juggling the idea of his wife sleeping with another man (even though he slept with Ben without her knowing) and feeling territorial over Ryan. Jess just wants everyone to be happy. Then the timeline jumps to six months later. I couldn’t contain my tears. I felt so much during the last part of this book, I almost had to step away. Sweet, precious Ryan. I love him so much. Ugh.

Finally Ryan gets his HEA and it honestly might be the best HEA I’ve ever read. The circumstances surrounding the happily ever after, how this trio comes together again, and the hardships they face in telling their friends and family about their new relationship, truly make this story for me. The ending was everything. A lot of the beginning and middle is sex, I won’t deny that. I mean, it’s H.O.T. Probably the best sex I’ve ever read, but it was still just sex. The ending, where there are words and actions that truly back up the claims of love…that’s the meat of this story. That’s the good stuff. I don’t think I can compliment Nyla K enough on her creativity in this story. Her eloquence and delicious verbiage totally knocked this story out of the park. Bravo. 5 stars.
